The General Osteopathic Council, our regulating body, describe Osteopathy as “a system of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions. It works with the structure and function of the body, and is based on the principle that the well-being of an individual depends on the skeleton, muscles, ligaments and connective tissues functioning smoothly together.”
This means that your body is capable of self healing (in many cases) and that optimal healing takes place in the optimal environment. As Osteopaths we look at how you adapt to your complaint or how it arose in the first place and work with you and your body to facilitate optimal healing.
About Us – Our Osteopaths
Sophie Parker
I have always had an interest in health care and how the human body works. Before training as an Osteopath I completed a degree in Human Biology. This gave me an excellent understanding of the human body. However this did not fulfil my desire to work with people within a primary care role. I decided to train as an Osteopath as I wanted to work with and help people.

Before studying to be a osteopath at the University of Swansea I began my early career in engineering. After sustaining a low back injury and receiving successful treatment, for which I was both impressed by and eternally grateful for, I opted for a change of career to Osteopathy.
